Well now, I've backed myself in a corner here. At the Technology Center where I attend school every morning, I heard about a competition that comes around every year. I think it's FCLH or SCLH, not sure because every time someone says it someone else in the background is making noise.
So here's the dealio. We can use any program we want to create and animate these characters, it has to be about a superhero, and that superhero has to affect the people around him. Since I'm no good with flash (as far as I saw. I would love to go back and take my time a second go around) and since I'm somewhat good with Cinema4d, I figured I'd do my short movie in 3d.

Problem: I've NEVER created a human looking character, and here I have to make the really detailed superhero and several types of bg characters. I mean, even the car models I start making never make it past the hood (though I still blame the poorly laid out schematics...)

Solution: Maybe, with the help of a tutorial I've been learning off of to make human characters, I can get one good base character model made, then edit one for the superhero and several for the other characters. Hopefully too I can get this model done, edited, textured, and animated in time to start rendering up clips and scenes.

I believe the competition is in 2011, some time before summer, but that leaves two weeks of winter break with no school, and no computer powerful enough to handle even the small amount of polygons I've already got, let alone a whole scene.

I'm freakin out man, freakin out! lol
But yeah, I have not been in the best mindset as of late. Fortunately, I'm exempt from all other Tech School work while I'm working on stuff for the competition.
